Behind the Scenes: Zero Waste

We recently came across some leftover organic cotton gauze remnants that were bound for a landfill after having been used for another company’s production. We couldn’t bear to see it go to waste and offered to purchase it knowing we could make something beautiful and useful.

Using one of our owner’s personal beloved linen wraps as inspiration, we designed a multipurpose throw that we hope will become a staple piece in your home. It can be used as a wrap on chilly nights, a baby swaddle (the organic gauze won’t irritate sensitive skin), or a light towel for the pool or beach.

We also added a set of kitchen cloths into the mix - these could be hung in a guest bathroom or given as a thoughtful and sustainable hostess gift too. The organic cotton is safe and gentle on skin and around food, and the woven gauze absorbs moisture but will dry quickly when hung on a peg.

With sustainability at the core of our philosophy, we are always looking for ways to solve problems and make beauty with purpose. Being able to rescue and find use in this beautiful fabric has inspired our team to find new ways to re-purpose materials and explore the idea of zero waste production. We hope you’ll love our new Zero Waste collection as much as we do.
